Mrs. Lutze was born Oct. 28, 1890, in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Bauman. She lived with foster parents in Sheboygan Falls where she attended public schools. At the age of 18 she moved to Newton where she was employed by the Newton Telephone Co. On Sept. 26, 1912 she was married to Robert Lutze of Newton at the Newton Reformed Church. The couple lived on a farm in Town of Newton for 30 years and moved to Sheboygan in 1942 following their retirement. Mrs. Lutze was a member of Fountain Park Church, Ladies Aid Society of the church, Homemakers Club of Centerville for 40 years, and most recently a member of the homemakers club of the Pigeon River area.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Norman on the home farm at Newton; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Evelyn) Brost of Cleveland; a step-daughter, Mrs. George (Hertha) Wussow of Sheboygan; a brother, Peter Bauman of Crivitz; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A sister and three brothers also preceded her in death.
