Edgar Lougheed Dies In Seattle
Edgar D. Lougheed, 57, of 2215 Hope St., a well-known Calgary business man, collapsed and died from a heart attack Friday night in Seattle while at the west coast on a business trip.
Mr. Lougheed, born in Calgary, was a son of the late Sir James and Lady Lougheed, western pioneers, and was educated at Western Canada College, Calgary, and graduated from the Dalhousie law school, Halifax. He was the executor of the Sir James Lougheed estate which included the Lougheed building and other properties.
He served in the First Great War with the R.C.A.S.C. and held the rank of captain. He was a member of the Ranchmen's club and the Gold and Country Club.
He is survived by his widow, two sons, Donald and Peter, and a daughter, Barbara, a brother Norman at Victoria, and a sister, Mrs. J.H. (Dorothy) Hutchinson at Banff.
