OLIVER D COLBURN
THE STABBING AFFAIR – We regret to announce that Oliver D. Colburn, who was stabbed at the Chilton House on the 26th ult., died on Thursday morning of this week. Freeman Richards, who was arrested for committing the crime was examined before Esq. Connelly, and committed to the Manitowoc County jail to await the action of the Grand Jury at the next session of the Circuit Court. From the evidence produced at the trial there can be no doubt that he is the individual who committed the foul deed. Colburn, the victim of this black assassin, was a hard working, inoffensive man and leaves a wife and child to mourn his untimely fate.
