Mrs. Gertie May Sell, 72, of Dellroy, died January 6 in the Evans Rest Home near Leesville following a cerebral hemorrhage. She had been a patient at the home two months. Mrs. Sell was born November 5, 1886 in Harrison County, a daughter of the late David and Rebecca (Hagey) McQueen. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge at Dellroy.
Surviving are two sons, Clifford of Leesville and Donald of route 4, Carrollton; a brother, Lacy McQueen of Erie, Pennsylvania and six grandchildren. Her husband, Henry Sell and a daughter, Pauline preceded her in death. Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Sweeney Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. Paul George officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
