CALDWELL — Word was received here that Mrs. Martha J. Hamilton, 76, was killed Thursday at Toneskat, Wash., when the door of the truck in which she was riding, flew open, and threw her out on the pavement.
Mrs. Hamilton was a resident of Caldwell. She was visiting her sister, Mrs. Minnie Averhardt at the time of her death.
She is survived by five daughters; Viola Whitney, Grants Pass, Ore.; Irene Naff, Spokane, Wash.; Mabel Beatty, Portland, Ore.; Anabelle Gowing, Portland, and Mildretta Adams, of Homedale; one son, James Hamilton of Jordan Valley, Ore.; 14 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie Averhardt, Toneskat, Wash.; Sarah Moore of Wyoming, one brother, J. C. Belcher, Ringling, Mont.; one half brother, Charles Baker, Vancouver, B. C.; and one half sister, Nancy Stauts of Yankee Jim, Calif.
Services will be held in Caldwell. No arrangements have yet been made, pending the arrival of relatives.
