MRS ELMER E LESURE
Ashfield - Mrs Helen (Gardner) Lesure, 55, of Main St., died Saturday night at Franklin County Public Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. June 14, 1908 the daughter of Nelson and Nellie (Bartlett) Gardner and had been a resident here for the past 28 years. She was a member of the Ashfield Congregational Church and the Ladies Aid of the church and a member of the Ashfield Historical Society. She leaves her husband Elmer E., two daughters Mrs Brenda Geremia of Floral Park, N.Y. and Mrs Linda Jones of Springfield, two sons George G of Hartford, Conn. and Donald N of Ashfield; three sisters Mrs Maude Miller of Springfield, Mrs Mabel Shaw of Ashfield, and Mrs Hazel vonHallen of Plainfield; a brother Gilbert Gardner of Ashfield, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be today at 3 p.m. at the Ashfield Congregational Church with Rev. Phillip Steinmetz officiating. Burial will be in Plain Cemetery. Smith funeral home of Shelburne Falls has charge of arrangements. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to one's favorite charity.
