Services for Phyllis Ann Barr, 69, Red Oak, were Thursday, January 16, at Nelson Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. The Rev. David Bonn officiated and burial was in Pilot Grove Cemetery. She died Monday January 13, 1992 at Immanual Medical Center in Omaha, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Barr was born October 4, 1922 in Montgomery County, near Grant to Guy and Lucile Emberee and graduated from Grant High School. She married Roy M. Barr in Council Bluffs October 4, 1940, and the couple farmed in Pilot Grove Township. A homemaker, she was a member of Pilot Grove United Methodist Church, to which memorials are suggested.
Survivors include her husband, two sons, Richard (Rick) Barr of Villisca, and Bryce Barr of Norfolk, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother Stanley Embree of Griswold; one sister, Eunice Van Eaton of San Diego, California.
