He was preceded in death by his parents, wife in 1992, sister, Helen Taylor, and brother Neal Barr and Clyde Barr.
He is survived by sons Bryce Barr and wife Gwen of Omaha, Nebraska and Richard Barr and wife Joan of Villisca, Iowa. Also seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also brother Floyd Barr of Villisca, Iowa and Berniece Guffey of Nodaway, Iowa.
