Erwin O. Wunsch, 78, a former R. 1, Cleveland resident, died Sunday at Sunny Ridge where he and his wife had been residing since June. Born on Aug. 10, 1895 in the town of Mosel, he was a son of the late Edward and Annie Fischer Wunsch. On May 1, 1920 he married the former Emma Roeder at Sheboygan. The couple resided in the town of Mosel where he was a cheesemaker until 1940. He worked for the A. L. Wagner Co., Haven from 1948 to 1963.
He served as treasurer of the Town of Mosel, was a lifetime member of St. Mark United Church of Christ in the town and was a member of the Sheboygan Elks Club. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1970.
Survivors include his widow, a brother, Gilman of Sheboygan and three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Wiegand of Cleveland, Mrs. Valaria Woepse of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Adeline Prueter of Manitowoc. A brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mark UCC, Mosel and burial in Sheboygan Lutheran Cemetery.
