LLOYD GROVOGEL
Lloyd Albert Grovogel, 79, Sturgeon Bay, died at his residence Dec. 23, 1999.
He was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Sturgeon Bay, to the late John and Anna (Luethge) Grovogel.
He graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1939.
June 28, 1941, he married Dorothy Maples.
Lloyd was a member of the United Methodist Church. He worked at Curley's Cleaners for 44 years. After retiring, he was a janitor at the United Methodist Church. Lloyd was a past president of the Eagles Club.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; five children, Sharon (Albert) Beard, Ellison Bay, Bonnie (Allen) Kolberg, Nanci (Richard) Moore, and Scott (Jackie) Grovogel, all of Sturgeon Bay, and Gary Grovogel, West Palm Beach, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy (Lettie) Grovogel, Sturgeon Bay; and a sister, Fern (Frank) Struck, Neenah, Wis.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stacy; three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, from the United Methodist Church, the Rev. Kenneth Boettcher officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Forbes Funeral Home, Sturgeon Bay, and after 1 p.m. Monday at the church until time of services.
