Mr. Thomas O'Grady, Jr. a well-known young architect of Boston, died in West Roxbury Wednesday. He was born in West Roxbury in March 1858. He studied architecture at the Institute of Technology and received the first prize, which is awarded to the best scholar in the out-going class by the Boston Society of Architects. Afterwards he went into partnership with Mr. Zerrahn and the firm won second prize in the competition for furnishing plans for the Public Library. He was connected with Mr. Zerrahn in business for three years and in that time they won a prize in the competition for furnishing plans for the new court house. Mr. O'Grady was also engaged as instructor at the Institute of Technology for a year. In January 1888 he was elected a member of the school board.
